1. Open your image and prep it Increasing Colours (CTRL+Shift+0) and duplicate layer (Layers > Duplicate).
2. Next step is to color your image. For my skin colour I use #AD9484, shorts #485769, shirt #7B8484. For my convinience, I try and duplicate the image after I get the look I want so I do not ruin what I feel is good outcome. Notice on the Layer Palette, I have three different layers, the ORIGINAL (Background), Skin, and Clothing.
3. Merge your layers, and create a duplicate layer to work on. Add Flaming Pear's Aertherize as shown below. Depending on you image, the settings may vary.
4. Duplicate the Layer and Add Lucis Art EXPOSURE at the Following Settings:
5. Soften the Skin, using Blur or Soften Tool, keep your edges clean to not lose definition. Careful around the mouth, nose, lips, and fingers.
6. Duplicate the layer, add Xero: Tweaker for that Light Pop effect on the skin.. helps give it shimmer.
7. Add a Background to the image. Notice before you add the BG, the avi has a light background as it is, try adding a lighter type of background like the one added below. To make the BG and AVI connect, seem to belong together, bring down the opacity of the BG layer down some as shown below to help blend in.
8. COPY MERGE and PASTE as a NEW LAYER (Make sure its MERGED before pasted as a new layer). Then duplicate that Layer like shown below so you can add Xero IMPROVER.
9. Final step would be to do any touch ups necessary, for example soften out any specs on the avi, or just give the skin another touch up.
Filters you will be needing: Flaming Pear: Aetherize, Lucis Art: Exposure, XeroXL: Tweaker and Improver. Download this tutorial in PDF format by clicking here.
